a. Fetch your certificate 1. You will receive an email when your certificate is issued. 2. Go to your Status page: https://www.thawte.com/cgi/server/status.exe 3. Enter your Order number and password, if one was set 4. Copy and Paste your thawte Certificate to Notepad and save as a cert.txt b. Install the thawte certificate 1. In the Web Server Admin Server, select the Servers tab. 2. Choose: Manager Server 3. Select the appropriate server and click on Manage. 4. Choose the Security tab. 5. From the side panel menu on the left frame, select the "Install Certificate" option. 6. In the "Install a Server Certificate" frame, do the following: a. Select the "This Server" radio button. b. Select the "Message text (with headers)" radio button. c. Copy your Thawte SSL certificate. d. In the Admin server's "Message text (with headers)" frame, paste the copied information from the clipboard into the space provided. e. Click: OK 7. On the page where the cert profile is shown click: Add certificate 8. There should be some processing, and a statement saying that the server which utilizes this information must be shutdown and restarted. However, it is not necessary to restart the server until all the steps below have been completed. c. Turning on Encryption 1. In the server manager, click on the "Preferences" tab. 2. Click on: Encryption On/Off 3. In the Encryption On/Off window, click the ON radio button. 4. Choose your port number (the default is port 443.) 5. Click: OK 6. Click Save and Apply changes. 7. The server should now be shutdown and restarted
