Novell Console One

Downloading your certificate which is already in a PKCS#7 format from your status page: https://www.thawte.com/cgi/server/status.exe and save in a text editor such as notepad, and rename as *.crt

Go to Console One and to the certificate that created the Certificate Signing Request (CSR). Go to the Public Key Certificate Tab. Select Import, select "No Trusted Root Certificate available", and then next. Import the Server Certificate that you created above.
Note: If you experience a "Not Present" value in properties of SSL Certificate object error, then please refer to the Novell knowledge base article http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/searchtid.cgi?/10066218.htm for information on the fix for this error.

Test your certificate by using a browser to connect to your server. Use the https protocol directive (e.g. https://your server/) to indicate you wish to use secure HTTP.

Note: The padlock icon on your browser will be displayed in the locked position if your certificates are installed correctly and the server is properly configured for SSL.

Option 2 (Create PKCS#7 format)

Instructions to create the PKCS #7 as follows:

When issued, you will be able to download two certificates from the certificate status page: https://www.thawte.com/cgi/server/status.exe

your web server certificate (copy the contents of this certificate to notepad - including the BEGIN and END header and footer - and save this certificate as "yourdomain.crt")
an intermediate certificate (copy the contents of this certificate to notepad - including the BEGIN and END header and footer - and save and name this certificate "chain.crt")
Place the yourdomain.crt and chain.crt somewhere handy like your desktop.
Right click the chain.crt file and select "Import Certificate" - a Certificate Import Wizard will begin. When the wizard step called "Certificate Store" appears select to "Place all certificates in the following store". Click browse and select "Intermediate Certification Authorities". Click Next until the wizard is complete.

Double click yourdomain.crt and click the details tab, then click Copy to File - a Certificate Export Wizard will begin. Next, Select "Cryptographic Message Syntax Standard - PKCS #7 Certificates (.P7B)" and select the "Include all certificates in the certification path if possible" check box. Give it a file name for example "c:\mycert". This step will put the Trusted Root, Intermediate Root, and End Server Certificate certificates into one certificate.
